After reading the recent e-mails about the International Cat Show and
the question of whether there will be another, I'm happy to let you
know that indeed there will be an International next year. I hope you
will be as excited about the following information as I was when I
first heard the news.

The show will be held November 21, 22 & 23, 2008 at the Georgia
International Convention Center (http://www.gicc.com/index.asp). The
convention center is five (5) minutes from the Atlanta-Hartfield
International Airport and the show hotel is the Renaissance Concourse
Hotel (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/atlsa-renaissance-
concourse-hotel/) one (1) mile from the airport. The hotel has
recently been remodeled and has newly soundproofed rooms. There is
complimentary airport shuttle service to the hotel and CFA will
provide exhibitor transportation for the short ride from the hotel to
the show hall.

Some of the reasons I think the 2008 International will be a success:
1.The 2008 International will be the first International to be held
in the eastern US in ten years.
2.Atlanta is truly a place that you can easily fly to from almost
anywhere in the world.
3.The close proximity of the show hall, hotel and airport.
4.The fact that Atlanta is within driving distance for many of our
exhibitors.
5.We will be using the traditional judging format and presentation of
our winning cats. The Game Show Network will not be filming this
years International.

Success will not happen without the hard work of the many volunteers
that it takes to put on a show of this magnitude. Most of the show
committees have been formed and those volunteers and our Central
Office staff are working to make next year's International a
wonderful exhibitor show where we can enjoy visiting with our friends
and showing the world our beautiful cats.
